Car history:
1) I bought this car in May 2006 as a project car. I have the original auction print-outs and documentation from the sale on eBay. I also have all receipts and photos documenting all my work since the purchase date. I've put $20K into the car, including the purchase. Below is a list that is as accurate and truthful as possible to my knowledge. All original, numbers matching, except for the engine block, intake, and carburator. Original engine was a 327ci /350hp option. Car came standard with no power brakes, no power steering, and no A/C as it was the high horse power option. Engine: 350ci /350+hp, 4-bolt main, 1969 Corvette engine block, Holley 650 double-pumper 4-barrel, TorquerII intake, with (correct) double-hump heads. Transmission: 4spd manual Muncie21 RockCrusher (original). Rear end: 3.70:1 (original). All new 'correct' wire harnesses, all new brake stainless steel system starting with the master cylinder to the rotors, (original) rally wheels with new trim rings and (original) derby caps, new Firestone Indy 500 tires, rebuilt suspension with original components blasted and powder coated with 'as-original' replacement parts including rubber bushings and all the nuts and bolts, the rear-end was cleaned powder coated and re-assembled with GM lubricants, the transmission has not been re-built but shifts smooth and makes no noise, the exhaust is an aluminized 2-1/2 tubing coming from Hooker Comp headers and going to FlowMaster40 mufflers, the seats have been re-surfaced with 'as-original' black basketweave vinyl, the car was re-painted a burgundy color which is not correct and has been flaking-off (original Safari Yellow), all dash items work to include the clock, new correct radiator hoses, heater core, fuel pump, fuel sending unit (fuel lines have not been replaced), HEI mechanical tach distributor, 8mm high performance plug wires, body mounts have not been replaced, I have added an electric cooling fan with thermostat to help keep the engine running cool (this fan will fit inside the original fan shroud, but I am missing a couple of brackets to mount it). 90 per cent of the items purchased to restore this car were purchased through Volunteer Vette Products. Again, I have all my receipts, manuals, research information, CD with photos of my work, and contacts to go with the car for the new owner. This car is about 90 per cent complete! Replace the body mounts, install the interior, install the seals, and replace a few trim items as needed and this will be a great 1-of-a-kind show car that you can drive! I drive this car every chance I get when doing errands around town. It runs and sounds great with a lot of power!
I have the carpet and numerous other interior components that were waiting for the car to be painted prior to install. I also have the vacuum hoses, floor mats, extra bulbs, spark plugs, and numerous other items. Upon pick-up of the vehicle you may take any/all parts associated with this car. If you do not want them I will get rid of them in another way. Engine block # 25GM 3970010 4-bolt main 1969 Vette 350 having 360ci with about 11.5:1CR. Pistons TRW# GM633/634 (bored) L2304 060. Heads # 3782461, 327 double-hump heads 161/62cc port. Transmission # 3884685. Rear-end # 3571575. I run premium gas with octane boost added during each fill-up; however, it runs fine on straight 93-octane. I also have a new high-quality car cover from Corvette America. The frame is solid. I've wire-brushed everything and 'knocked' it and obtained solid 'sound' finding no rust holes or thin spots. The only part on the vehicle frame I was planning to replace is the front bow, as it is 'rusted' and it is only a $250 part. The ever-questionable 'bird-frame' is in great condition as well. The only questionable piece that I was planning to leave, and just clean up, is the front bow of the convertible top frame. Otherwise I was going to use Eastwood's frame restoration paint when I lifted the body to replace the body mounts and fuel lines. However, I have been unable to attack that task as of yet. 119,391 miles. Colors from the owner. Built date is M09. August 24, 2009. After repaint, no bid at starting $25,000 on February 13, March 28 and April 27, June 21, 2017.
